ATP and WTA confirm the best players in Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open
ATP and WTA, the governing bodies of professional tennis circuit, today announced the list of participants in the Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open confirming the participation of all the great names of world tennis. It will be the first time in the history of tennis that a tournament in Spain has the presence of the first 10 male and female tennis players of the world at a the same time. The tournament will be from 8th to 17th of May at the facilities of the Magic Box.
"There are only 4 weeks left to take a walk around. We have the best players in the world, launched a new facility that will provide plenty to talk about and we have better public
tennis world eager to open the doors to enjoy this great tournament. It's going to be awesome", said tournament director Manolo Santana.
The lists published today by the ATP and WTA confirm that the best of the world tennis players: Nadal, Serena, Federer, Safina, Djokovic, Jankovic, Murray, Dementieva, Davydenko, Venus, Roddick, Ivanovic, Del Potro, Kuznetzov, Simon, Petrova, Verdasco, Monfils and Azarenka. Ten of ten, all in the Top 10 will be in Madrid.
