Antonio Arenas Mutua News

The young guns of the ATP World Tour will be well represented in the qualifying stages of the Mutua Madrid Open. The so-called #NextGenATP, a group that includes all the Top-200 players aged 21 or under, will play a leading role in the battle for the remaining places in the final draw.

Standout players include Americans Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe and the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas. They all occupy high positions in the Race to Milan, the annual ranking of the best #NextGenATP players, the purpose of which is qualification for the Next Gen ATP Finals.

Besides the young players in the qualifiers, Latin America will also be represented with clay specialists such as Argentinians Federico Delbonis and Horacio Zeballos or the Chilean Nicolás Jarry.

Among the veterans in search of a place in the Mutua Madrid Open final draw will be Marcos Baghdatis, Julien Benneteau, Viktor Troicki and Mischa Zverev.
